Thank you to everyone for your support over the last couple of weeks as we closed our Marae down to ensure health and safety of all whānau and our community during the construction of the Waharoa which is now complete, blessed and ready to use.
A huge thank you and mihi to Rev. Rex Nathan for undertaking the blessing of our Waharoa and the whānau who attendees today to officially open the gateway of what welcomes many whānau to come and walk through during pōwhiri. Ngā mihi ka tika kia koutou katoa.
We also acknowledge and thank Joe Fareson of Good Built Homes who were the construction company who were contracted to complete the work – and done so 2 weeks earlier. Thank you e hoa.
In the next few months to come we will also be looking at putting up bollards and seating around the outside of the Marae Ātea. So watch this space!
